Time Flies.

WOOPS.

So i haven't been on here for like six months..well thats a lie, i have been reading one of my friends blogs, but not doing my own.

Anyway, my early new years resolution is to do this once every week and have some form of a video [i only have a cam corder atm, which is annoying to work with].

I have been away from writing it for so long because i have no pics, videos or anything :( and i have had so much work X_X.

For the past few weeks Sam has been insane, like SO good. I actually feel like i am riding him now, not just kind of trotting around. And when i jump i am actually thinking about rather than just shoving a jump at him.

I get back to the UK on soon, so i will update on him then :)

PC Camp.

I AM ALIVE :D
i obviously haven't written anything on here because there was nothing i did since my last blog till now that was worth writing about..
so. camp.

Monday:
got down and got sam in from the rain. he was living out.
i hadn't ridden in two days and i had had the WORST two w
eeks ever. but some lovely people helped me :)
anyway, then went to surrey pets and got a half sheepskin numnah and travelling boots :D
got him ready, and went off to Pachesham :D arrived and made his bed and settled him and that night i got to know everyone and chilled.

Tuesday:
Got up at 4.30am with everyone and did nothing. mucked out at 7. had a stable management lesson. then had my first flat lesson. he wasn't to good. we were in a snaffle = no control. and he was falling in and BLAH. then had lunch and another SM lesson.
Then XC! i was SO nervous. but he was wicked!! :DD

Testsss

I didn't ride yesterday because I was in the New Forest seeing my Gran. So my instructor did Sam for me :)

Right, on to today.
Well last night I was told I had to do my D test for Pony Club. Then it was cancelled. When I got down today and had just finished mucking out, my friends mum called me and told me that I was doing the test with her today. I had a lesson and my instructor went through all the things I would need to know. It was very useful :)

Then we waited, nervously.

The lady, Pat, arrived and told us to tack up and get on. She took us into the school and asked us to walk around and just relax. Asked us to walk a circle at B, then change the rein and doin the same on the other rein. We then had to trot and do a circle in trot on both reins. Then we had to canter on both reins. I was SO happy with Sam, he was like perfect; transitions were PERFECT and yeahh :DD He did almost get me off though, we were trotting and he spooked and span - haha. Then we had to trot in our jumping position and come trotting over a x-pole, then canter over the jump. He was fab.
Then she like talked to us about points of the horse and the tack, cleaning it. How to keep and grass kept pony safe and healthy. In my opinion it was easy.
She told me I passed excellently :DD

Then I had to go lead for a Pony Party, got back and someone was tacking up Sam. I was going on a hack as a rear escort :)
I almost fell off - there were these tyres in the bush, he backed off then galloped about 4 feet ahead of himself. Oops.

Flatwork [9/7]

Had another lesson today :)

My instructor rode him first and loosened him up and yeahh. Then I got on and yeahh. Bit boring to write about really. Also went on a slow hour hack. He was good.

God, this is boring.

I am done. :)

Deja Vu

Today was so strange. It felt like winter, it gave me an idea of what he will be like in winter - not fun. haha. Well actually, NO, I lie. He was very good, in my opinion.

We went round trying to get him just...relaxing? Just extending a bit and yeahh. He was okay I guess. We tried some leg yeilding [?]. He was better on one rein rather than the other. Then I was told to try and ask for a contact - FAIL. My instructor got on and softened him. I got on and i was told to go around in light seat and I got a contact. Then I sat correct and he was softening in walk.

haha. Very happy with him <33

"haven't done that in a while"

Jumping today. First off, the weather. Ewww. It was hot, then rain, then hot, then rain etc...
I managed to time my riding with the good weather :)

So Tessie came and gave me a jump, he was f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s. I was so happy with him. He is actually just so amazingly hones
t. He will jump anything you ask him too, or at least he will try his hardest. I couldn't ask for a better horse, a more honest, caring and willing animal.

I did fall off today, but it was not at all Sam's fault. It was mine.
I thought he was going on a long stride and he didn't. He kind of tripped over the back pole [It was 75 cm] and
I got outjumped :S. I 'slipped' off and landed on my feet then fell over backwards, haha. I checked if he
was lame, put him through all his paces and popped over a small straight. The people watching me said he was okay.

So, I did the coarse to finish. He was good. I was a bit nervous considering the fall, but he took me around like I was on a cloud <33.
I LOVE HIM AHHHHHHH.
Then he did knock the one shown above so I just did it again to finish. Tessie [HATE YOU haha] put it up to 95 cm without me knowing. He FLEWWWWWW :DDDD

Love him so much x

Summer.

Right, this is the begging of me blogging everytime I ride, and I will do it properly.

So today it was nice weather in the morning and so I thought 'well he can stay out for a bit'. Then it started to rain -_-. Went to get him in, but it was getting hotter. Got to the field and he was laying out, like he was dead ha. Then we had a long stroll to the gate and went in. I fed him and he was a happy ponyyy :DD. I was gonna ride, but it was SO windy and dusty and horrid. So I just helped on the yard. Then at like five, when everyone had gone, my instructor was lunging him, but i was on pushing him forward :D. He was fab. No one to film.
Oh well.
Jumping tomorrow.

Summer :D

First week of summer is over :( But, it was a good one :)
Its strange to have him to myself, but lovlyyyy :DDD

Monday: HEAT WAVE. wow. It was hot today!! My instructor schooled him and then late afternoon i went on hack. In the shade it was lovely, but i got sunburnt :( ow. He was really lovely out, coming down in walk and trot. wasss gooodddd :DD

SO HOT.

OH BLAH.

I mainly hacked that week.

WOOPS. DIDN'T BLOG.

don't care. do it this week hahaha.

Fissapointment.

i had a lesson on thursday and he was good. i shared it with alex [owns clover] and she did it on mirage for a show on the saturday. was good and bad, meant that i couldn't do alot. but that i could learn from her way of riding.

we did a coarse of about 70/80 cm. the jumps were good, like powerful and comfy. sadly, nothing special. :/ oh well. still <3>

then today. well was awful. went on a hack, well took a younger friend out. he was actually really good.  but he usually is hacking, he was kinda coming round, but no. then i took him in the school in the late afternoon to really get him round. no said sam. lets bunny hop and reverse, yes?
so bad. i feel quilty, i am the worst owner, i don't deserve him D;.

summer in a week, lets hope things look up :/

late, late, late.

right, i have a problem. i have forgotten what i have done in the past few weeks. i had that hack with tessie, i think that was in half term...

okay, so that sunday i think i did bareback. i was going to go on a hack with chloe and tessie,
but then tessie wasn't there and blah blah blah.

so i schooled him, or attemted to. after about 30 mins of walking and trotting and trying to get anything that looked like and outline, i had a little jump :)

he was so amazingly fabulous.
in the end we went to 3ft and it was perfect striding!! i know in the pic you can't see if i have a saddle or not, but i don't.

he was bouncy and lovely :DD
anyway, then i had a lesson, again working on the contact.
then my sister came over from the USA. she came to watch me so i jumped, he had had the day off the day before, so he was all bouncy and happy :DD

when i took him to the field
[bareback] i slipped off his bottem :)

write soon xo

outline?

woah, woah and woah again. i haven't blogged in about a year?? well longer than a month. woops!! okay, well as usual i cannot think of what i did in the time that i haven't blogged :P sorry.
well, i am at the pickle's house, it is 11:36 and she is downstairs getting food :D.
okay. today.
went down at like 8:30, and got sam in and put him away, went into the office and drew a masterpiece. then went and fed sam.
Alex got down at like 1:45 and our lesson was at 2:00!! she was on dimple but then a sharer had dimple? she was on cassidy :)? got in the school, cassidy was too strong, she left and i had a lesson :D

He was fab, forward going and bouncy. he was coming onto the contact which was nice, and which meant i was able to make in bouncier going into a fence.
we did a grid of four jumps that were about 80cmish. they were each one strided. took it all perfect, we had a bit of trouble keeping the second one up :/ ahh well, life goes on.
he looked happyyyyy todayyy :DD
at the end we jumped a 3ft spread, that will be in the video :)

after my lesson alex walked to the field and got some wicked pictures of us :D <3

but they won't load -_-. sorry.

okay, have a lesson tomorrow, flat.
then hack friday, with alex. its a 2hr :)

Show.

I love Sam. So much. I can't describe it. I didn't ride him today as he was having a 'day off', but because there was no field or school free, I let Karen ride him :) She lovesss him and hasn't ridden him since Alex started sharing him last summer, and as her horse might have to have an operation, she hasn't been able to ride a lot lately. They were good togtherrr :D
But YESTERDAY, wow. He was fabulous.
We went to a show.

He looked amazing <3.>

His jumps were neat and powerful. He was forward going. My leg wasn't awful and my hands were okay? I mean that picture >>> is awful, but it was one of my first jumps of the day in the warm up :)
I did three classes;
- Clear Round
- 2 - 2'3ft
- 2'3 - 2'9ft

In the clear round, he went clear and I got a rosette :)
In the next class got a double clear and came 6th :D
In the last but not least, I got a double clear and did it in 4 secs, not placed :DD

I can't really say anymore, I was so happy.
Just have a look at the video :)
Sunday, as I said was a 'day off'.

Monday I went on a 2hr hack, and he was fab. Had a flat out gallop :DD
Amazinggg.

Then I went to America and came back on a Tuesday and had a ride, jumped top :DD First time on my own!!
Rode today, was fab :)

Thoughts?

Well, today Sam was good. BUT, I have been speaking to a friend who has suddenly made me think: does he like jumping? Or does he do it to please me? Tbh, I have no idea. He doesn't refuse unless there is a good reason. But, he always has his ears flat back, bar the few jumps he doesn't.

Enjoyment on his face?
Hmmmm?

Anyway, on to the lesson.
Well, he had already done 2hrs!! Not happy. So I knew he would be lacking. Surprisingly he had some energy. Transitions were sharp and neat,
he was responsive and bouncy :) We had a few little kick outs, but nothing huge. I did feel he was picking up in the front at the beginning, but towards the end, no. I felt I had to kick him, but not a lot.
I know my hands are stiff -_-. But, I am working on it. The doubles are when its worse, I freeze.
My legs have massively improved, so happy :DD

I know I got left behind, but he took it sooooo long!! I was like 'urr, wow?' Yeah, it was 3ft. That was the highest I went.

Not riding till the show, but on that Sunday he will have a calming day out in a field/school and have a few walks :D Then monday maybe a hack?
Dunno.

Then There's You ♥.

He is so amazing. I honestly take him for
granted. I know I shouldn't, and now I am
not going to. I know he is a blessing ♥.
We were practicing for a show that I have coming up.
We also practiced for if I am in the jump off.
It was FUNNY. I was AWFUL.
His jumps were powerful and neat. The biggest we went was 3ft,
but it was wideeeee!! I thought for sure he would struggle to get over it,
but no. He flewwwwww!!
I really don't have anything to say, other than he was amazing.
I am lost for words.
We got the one strided double perfect and he only knocked like two poles the WHOLE
lesson. Pretty chuffed tbh.
I am hoping he is this good on Saturday at the show!!

Title? There has to be a title?

Okayyysss, so I rode yesterday as well as today cause I had a dentist thing, but the traffic was so bad I missed the appointment.

Well, the ride. Amazing tbh. He had done one hour already, quite early in the day so all was good. Got there 5 mins before the start of the lesson, so grabbed a brush and then tacked up. Got on [without a body protector :S] and rode.

We did this weird thing where, because there were 8 of us, we divided into odds and even. Then the odd numbers circled at "E" and evens carried on and circled at "B". Then we met and slotted back in, it was GENIUS. Then we did another exercise where we went down the centre line and odds went left and evens went right, changed the rein across the long diagonal at the same time, the went back up the centre line and were back in our order, but: the first time we did that I got it wrong and messed up the whole thing. Ohhh welll, life goes on.

Then we had a little jump. He was fulll off beansssss, we ended going up to tops. I am so pleased, everyone was saying it looked "super" even my instructorrr :D It felt it to, I am not so scared jumping that anymoreee :DD
But sadly it was not caught on camera :((

Then todayyyy, I went on a hack instead of my lesson. It was okayyyy, I lead :DDDD But yeaahh, we had a little spook cause Sam decided to stand on a metal rode? Thats all really.
Riding Sundayyy.

angelsss

Wow, I am proud of myself!! Writing this on the night of the ride!!
Anywayyy, so got down and did the usual, mucked out. Well first I went and delivered some
pictures to people. When I went to see Sam and introduce him to his new salt lick [which I don't think he likes] he was laying down, so cute. Then I mucked out, except I couldn't find a wheelbarrow [the only one left was the squeaky one] so I just went a started it off. Then I decided that I didn't want to muck out, so I went and watched some of the lesson that was going on, that was boring so I went to steal a wheelbarrow off and unsuspecting person. Got it and finished mucking out :) Then put Sam away and went to get Pollyanna in from the field with Rosie & Luke. Luke decided he was a horse so yeahh. Then we had to catch Luke in because he wanted to [he's 5 btw]. Then Rosie put Pollyanna away and I checked on Sam. He was happy, munching on his hay. So we went and had lunch.
After lunch we brushed the ponieessss. Then went on our hack, was just a slow relaxing 1hr hack. Then got back and sorted them, then had to go to the jumping school to sort the jumps out for my lesson. EFFORT. So Rosie came with me and yeahhh, set them up. Went got Sam and had the lesson.

Was a gurrddd lesooonnnnnnn :DD
Highest was 85cm, a good hight imo. He flewwww, taking them really long, but that was my fault as I let him run away to much.

Video shall be up soon.

Lack of filming-Not Impressed.

So it rained again Yesterday :/. I hate rain, its so...wet? But hey, we have to live with it. So it stopped raining at about 12? I joined the 2:45 lesson and we did the same exercise as I did last Saturday, but we added in no stirrups. Was kinda boring, as I had already done it. But it was okay, because I hummed in my head and looked around the yard as I passed it :P My filmer: Tessie. FAIL. Got my first two canters, then left and didn't come back. MISSED THE JUMPING, which was amazing, never felt so good, I mean we FLEWWWW. My leg was fine, I could feel it!! Ohhh welllll.

Rain, Oh what joy :)

Rightyho.
So, my plan was:
Get down at 10ish, turn Apollo out for Tessie. Then muck out Sam, get him ready and take Holly out on a hack.
BUT.
That all changed. I got there at 10. The yard was being swept, and because I am at the top of the yard, my 'area' was already clean. So I didn't muck out. Turned Apollo out and almost got killed in the process. Then Luke, who is 5, came up to me and wanted me to help him get 'his pony' in. So I did, and his dad saw and asked if I would look after him. So we got 'his pony' wet hay and filled Sam's hay net. Happyyyy Ponieesss. Holly popped up at about 11, we got Buddy in and thatched him. As we were doing this, Natalia came up to me and asked if I would go about 20mins down the road to film a horse that was for sale. So I said yes. We were in the car and she then told me in was about TWO HOURS AWAY. Got there saw the horse, then found another and another :/. Left and got back about 3. Finished lunch and tacked up and went on the hack. Sam was FABBBBB!!! <3333333333333333333333333333>

"CATHERINE, DON'T RUN PEOPLE OVER!!"

Tuesday:
Went to a PC ShowJumping rally, he was fab. Fortunately it was at the same place as the day before so he had seen it. I was worried that it would be huge, but it wasn't. Instead we were jumping tyres and tarpaulins and that jazz. He was so so so so so good, I couldn't be happier. No nasty run outs whatsoever, I few looks, but nothing major.

He was just so amazing, I can't get over it. <33333we>
Was good!!
He was also in a grackle. LOVE. heehee, unfortunately its not mine :( Just borrowing.

I am just so happy with him, I didn't know what to do!!
He was amazing going on the lorry and coming off <33.

Wednesday:
I went on a 1hr 30mins hack :) I was just a rear escort, it was a slow kids Easter hack. I then waited like the whole day, and as it was a late
night I rode at about 6. I couldn't be bothered to put the saddle on, so I just did bareback. I am getting lots better!! lol. In the end I jumped 2'9ft. He was fab!! Then my friend Alex got on a was jumping a xpole and fell off. HAAAAAA.
I am so annoyed, but no footage!! :(

Thursday:
Today I joined the 'Improve Your Jumping' lesson. He was really good, again. I am gonna have to think of something to get him for his great behavoir.
<333333
not much else really .

Pony Club :)

Saturday:
Had an hour group lesson with Steve on Saturday at 9:15am, almost killed me, so early X_X. Was a good lesson. Did a confusing exercise, can't even remember XD. Jumped 2'9ft at the highest, he took the first time long and my instructor put it up but I didn't want it up so I did the same hight again and he took it perfect, my legs were AWFUL, I feel it. I then rode him on a hour hack. He loved it :D. Then wayyy laterrrr, I rode in the 'Kids' group again as a lead file, wasn't anything hard.
[Also my mum and dad came down and set up a thing on his door!! :D A chain, so his door can be open. He lovessss itttt!!]
Sorry no pics, lack of people to film :(

Sunday:
Rode in my usual 10:30 lesson. Was good. Did a double. I think it was a bit short for him, but he was amazing. Went up to 2'9ft again, and he FLEEWWWWW.
Then my friend, Tessie, and I did bareback for a little while. Omg, it is so strangeeeeeee :S. I did a bit, but not a lot.
I was terrible HAAA. I was like 'ahhhh. i am slipping.' Tessie, on the other hand, was sitting there like in was nothing. She also popped Apollo [her pony] over a few fences.

Then I let her get on Sam. She was like ' HE IS SO COMFY!!!!' haa. So then I asked her if she wanted to jump, she did. So I put up a little xpole and he was like 'thats an insult' so I put it up and he was FAB!! So was Tessie <3.>
top in the end - FAB.

I am so jealous, why does she look so good -_-. She VERY kindly let me rid
e Apollo, well her mum did. I was so scared!! He is like uncontrolable. But I had a go :) He was LOVELY. SO COMFY <3>
Was amazing <3.

Today:
Went to a PC rally today, just like an introduction. He was amazing, considering that he can be spooky, we had a few spooks, but not HUGE. So yeahhh. Jumping at PC tomorrow :S.

Hacking and more Hacking :)

Sam has been living since Tuesday and I went on a hack with Sarah and Sam was fab!! It was a 2hr, so I was expecting squealing and bucking, but no. He was perfect, partly because he doesn't have as much energy :) Then today I was meant to have a 30min private lesson, but instead went on a 1hr hack. Was great!! Nothing much to say.
Riding tomorrow :)

Monday & Tuesday & Wednesday.

Monday:
Urrr. Well. i put him out in the sand school early and he had a good old roll. Brought him in and gave him a brush and then rode for a little while, just working on getting a really straight line, when going down the centre line.

Tuesday:
Righttttt, got down and mucked him out and then rode. Calmed him down and did no stirrups. Then did bareback, I got up my confidence and did canter. He was bonyyyyyyyy. Then I had a lesson with Alex and Liv. It was really good. Well. We were warming up and he was 'looking' at this book. He just wouldn't go past it, so my instructor moved it to make him happy and then he found something else to look at. Then he really spooked and I was told to turn him, so I did and I got my foot caught on one of the letters :S. Killed my foot. Instructor got on a he was fine, then he jumped him. Perfect. Got back on and he got me off again. Got back on and then he was fine, the jumps got big and he went crazyyy. I was scared and got off.

Wednesday:
Well he lived out in the field last night because of our little 'situation' yesterday. I had no idea what I was going to do today. Fortunately my instructor offered to take me on a hack. He was fab. Just amazing. Then on my way back I was taken into the school and he was FABULOUS. Took the strides amazingly!! Just wow, he really did it by himself tbh. :D. Then I gave him a bath, he was sweaty. Then rode again for about 20mins[?], just working on the outline and getting him off my leg :).

Sleepy Sam.

I arrived at the yard bright and early [9:30] and got told that my horse had gotten out Saturday night, gone into the sand school and had a good role. His rugs were covered in sand and he looked very happy with himself when I got there. Like 'hehe, I had fun last night.'

Then I rode in the 10:30 group lesson and he seemed....dead[?]. Lesson was okayyy. Jumped biggish. My dad took some lovely photos, but Blogger is being stupid and not allowing any :/. Then I washed his legs and tended his mud fever and that jazz. Put him away and went and took some AMAZING photos of Tessie and Apollo and my friends jumping on foot :). I came back to brush Sam at about 3:30, but he was asleep <3.>

Then today, got down, mucked out and brushed him. Lead in a lesson and gave my old share pony [who was in the lesson] a good groom and gave her hay and water, while she cooled off in the shade :). Put Sam out in the sand school and he had a good old roll. When I rode him after lunch, I worked on straight lines and our inclines and centre line turns. He was good, slightly...cautious[?], but good. Did some no stirrups, good again. THEN, I opened the gate on my own and closed in when I went in!! I was so happy :P

THEN, there is a mare at our yard that has just had a foal, it is like 4 days old and they put it out into the sand school because it was getting to fresh in the stable. Sam was on the yard and the second he saw her, he was calling to her trying to get her attention and holding his tail up and puffing his chest out and flaring his nostrils :) He looked GORGEOUS!!

Anyway, so good today. Got a lesson together with Alex and Liv, Liv should be on Buddy and Alex will be on either Harvey or Dimple. Should be good :)

Urrrr, interesting Jumping?

*Rode Friday and didn't really do anything. Put him out in the sand school, expecting him to gallop about and roll. But no. He looked at me like 'what?' so I left him and then, decided I needed to ride so he didn't kill me today :) Then I did some small jumps, working on strides and that jazz. FAIL. HA.*

Then today I rode in the 1:30pm lesson. We did an exercise that I did back in the summer, but we did it minus the jumps we had. So, you do it from the rear of the file:
- Reverse Half Circle Return at 'K'
- Incline from 'F' - 'H'
- Then circle from 'C' - 'X' - 'C'
- Then halt at 'B'
Wait for the ride to catch up, the go.
We then did it with out stirrups and added canter at 'H' all the way to 'X' then canter at 'H' and canter your circle.
Then did it again with stirrups. I am quite pleased, th
ere was no mad swinging or anythingg.

Then jumped :D
I was pleased, my legs were okay, I just have to keep my heels down a bit, giving me a stronger position.

I was very happy with my position on the smaller ones :D I could have released more, but I am still learning.
One below was PERFECT in my opinion!! Just..ahhhh. PERFECT.

MY POSITION AND THE WHOLE THING WAS A FAIL ON TOPS, but still I have NEVER gone tops with Steve so I am happy :D
He took off soooooooo far aw
ay, after the jump I failed, but that will be in a video, haa.

[I also rode in a 'Kids' lesson to help them :)]

Perfection.

ohmygoodnessgraciousme!!!! A foal was born last nigh and was there when I got down todayyy. It is so cute, a little filly. But thats all I know haa.

So I rode Sam today and he was amazing. He was so....'WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'. I did lots of no stirrups after calming him down and stretching him out [he had a tetanus jab today]. Was really forward going and willing. We did lots of walk to canter, because usually we are terrible of that, but today PERFECT. I mean perfect. Straight off the leg and just, ahh. Bliss.

Then I rode in a group lesson [an easy one] as lead file, just to help them. He was a fed up 'I WANT TO GO FAST' was his attitude. Then we jumped and he was good. On the smaller ones he was like 'you must be joking'. Then in the end we did 2'9ft, I looked awful. My leg was okay, but the rest; fail. He was so fast AHHHHH. haa.

Rightttttt, may I just say that he is amazing and that you must never ever say otherwise. I mean I knew Sam could jump, but he really surprised me on Sunday. After 3 hours on Saturday, he was still rearing to go and happpyyyyy to do it.
We did some trotting poles and he is so different when he does them, haa. He was really
lifting his legs up. Then we did some small crosspoles, he was good. But he was strong and cutting the corners :S. Then I fixed that. He was really responding to my leg and taking off
when I wanted :) Then we did a double then a triple. THEN, we did a HUGE spread!!

At that I thought we finished, but no. We went to tops :S

Amazing, took it in his stride. Amazing. Love. Then
, I was so happy with the lesson I didn't ride him again, but washed his legs and just groomed him :) He was a happy horse :D
On holiday now so riding everyday.
:D
Got him some new stuff today!!!

Sunny Days :D

Today was
such nice day!! I couldn't get over it. The sun shone all day and the sky was blue with no clouds!! It was hot, not sweltering, but hot, with a cool breeze. Basically, PERFECT conditions.
Okay, so from now on [for a little while] I will be riding in the 10:30am group lesson
on Sundays, this way I have a good ride in the morning and don't have to worry about the
schools being free, then if I am lucky and there is a school I can ride in the afternoon :)

We did a grid today, it built up from two jumps to three. They weren't high, but it was a good excercise. The jumps were about 2ft at the highest.
Thats all in the lesson really, but I have fixed my kicking!! I no
 longer 'swing' :DD.

Then later in the afternoon I rode again, as we didn't go high, I decided to jump again. The grid was still there so went up to 2'9ft on that, then went down the other end to the jumping school and did a few jumps. I wanted to see what he was like in his new bit :) He was fab!! Strong but good, jumped about 3ft :D
So s'all gurddd.
Gave him a bath, he was happy.
CAN'T WAIT TILL EASTER!!!!
:D

Rain, Lost Phones and Last Days :(

So today was and okay day. Didn't ride. I was going to, I was gonna do some small jumps  [fillars] to see what Sam is like with his new bit, but sadly just as I was going to go tack up, the heavens opened and that ruined that.
Then a friend suggested that we free school. So we waited for it to stop raining, but the WINDD!! So strong, I was like 'No, not in this rain.' I am a wimp :P
So I/we pampered him alllll dayyyyyyy. :D He was happyyyyy. Does everyone know those likits? The mollasses one? Well, I got two for Sam, and gave him a few licks of it yesterday and today when I got down; he had opened it and eaten the WHOLE THING. The the top half of his door shut because of the wind. I went and saved him :D

The title:
Well it rained,
my friend lost her phone
and
a REALLY special person left :(
Not much else to say really, riding Thursday and *MAYBE* Saturday!! Really hope I can!! :DD

Great Clown of a Horse.

Samuel is a clown.
Scared of EVREYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING.
We have new lights in our back schools now, so it is BRIGHT. Like riding in daylight [minus a few shadows :P]
Anyway, we where trying to get him in an outline, fail.
He has a new bit that is weaker and so it is harder to get him on the contact.
So my instructor got on him and taught me for about 20mins on Sam.
I got back on and we did some jumping, after cantering around in light seat.

After a few jumps, which I had to stop after to show control, we noticed that he NEVER landed on the correct leg. So she told me to lean more and half halt. But still, no.
So we put the jump on the center line and did and exercise where you came round on the right rein and had to go onto the left rein.
Sometimes it worked, but mostly no.
Then we were doing another one and he tripped and landed on his knees :S
But he was all gooddddd :)

Till Saturday,
